Through blue collar jobs, trucking, and formal education, I've maintained programming as a constant passion - always exploring new languages, tools, and technologies. After a dangerous trucking incident in winter 2023, I decided to transform this decades-long hobby into a professional career.

My Journey
From side hustle to building technology solutions that matter
Early Computing Fascination
At age 8, my fascination with computers began when my mom took me to her college computer course. My love for video games sparked curiosity about how coding actually works, setting the foundation for a lifelong passion with technology.
Blue Collar Years & Hobby Coding
After graduation, I worked blue collar jobs (warehouses, construction) while exploring coding as a hobby using the early internet. It was challenging, but my curiosity kept me experimenting with different programming concepts and languages.
Formal Programming Education
Took formal coding classes (COBOL, Java, Oracle SQL, ASP.NET, Visual Basic) to transition away from manual labor. A near-fatal incident interrupted my studies and recovery took time, but I maintained programming as a passionate hobby.
Warehouse & Factory Years
Returned to blue collar work in warehouses and factories while continuing to explore programming as a hobby. Kept learning new languages, tools, and libraries as they came to my attention, maintaining my passion for technology.
Trucking Career & Continued Learning
Earned my Class A CDL and drove trucks while continuing to explore new languages, tools, and libraries as a hobby. After a dangerous ice storm incident in winter 2023, I decided it was time to transform my lifelong passion into a professional career.
Career Transition
Enrolled in Codecademy in April 2024, left trucking in August 2024, and began building professional portfolio projects. Started Uber driving in January 2025 as a bridge while launching my development career focused on practical business solutions.
